I spent last week in Los Angeles with my family as I mentioned here. My older sister Lacey is an Angeleno and thankfully she did most of the driving. We had a few rainy days at the start of our trip and I made the silly mistake of failing to pack water resistant shoes. I would be more upset about it if not for a couple of factors. First, the shoes I ruined in the rain were starting to show their age and I'd been trying to find a way to unload them. Second, the destruction of the flats necessitated the purchase of a new pair!
